Job Description:

Overview

Responsible for supporting and assisting the Branch Manager in the operations of the store. Demonstrates leadership qualities and competent decision making in the execution of duties.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Possesses thorough knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of all in-Branch personnel.

  • Promotes a professional image by example of own conduct/performance.

  • Fills in for and performs duties of Branch Manager when needed.

  • Keeps Branch Manager informed through ongoing communication.

  • Promotes superior customer service.

  • Assists with special projects as directed by supervisor.

  • Learns all aspects of Branch Manager's job responsibilities.

  • Understands and supports company policies and procedures.

  • Understands and possesses thorough knowledge of the inventory management system.

  • Possesses thorough knowledge and understanding of the products FM carries; their location, part numbers, usage, and most product problems and their solutions.

  • Responsibilities as an Assistant Branch Manager also include any duties requested by supervisor.

  • Performs similar and related duties to achieve objectives while using methods consistent with the FinishMaster culture.


MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides counseling, guidance, and supervision to Branch personnel as directed by supervisor.

  • Assists Branch Manager in evaluating employee performance, identifying and promoting employee training and development.

  • Assists Branch Manager in reporting

  • employee discipline and performance problems to Division Operations Manager and

  • participates in response to these situations as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education:

Mandatory Requirements-

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Requirements-
  • One year certificate from college or technical school with emphasis in product usage, customer and interpersonal relations.

Experience:

Mandatory Requirements-

  • Minimum, one year general knowledge of products and their usage.

Preferred Requirements-
  • Minimum, one year specific experience/training including applicable paint/tint schools; hands-on training or body shop experience.
