The Compensation and Benefits Analyst provides support and direction to HR and the Business related to compensation and benefits programs. This position has a primary role supporting Enable s compensation programs and processes and a secondary role support of the company s benefits programs. Conducts job analysis, market pay analysis and compliance reviews to ensure consistent, compliant, competitive and equitable compensation programs. Administers compensation survey data and participation through the use of third-party compensation management applications. Supports benchmarking studies and regular reporting on the company s market position through in-depth analysis of survey data. Provides guidance and recommendations to the business on job description development and standardization. Administers company-wide job description database and associated applications.
May support one or more programs or processes related to Enable s benefits programs, including but not limited to, administration of retirement or other health and welfare programs.
This position requires a seasoned and experienced individual with adequate understanding of own job area. Work is performed independently and under limited supervision. Determines approach to work and is supervised based on milestones and at key deliverable junctures. Work is reviewed for overall accuracy and soundness of judgement. Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Frequently applies technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analysis on market pay policies, practices and rates.
Thoroughly research and identify areas for pay analysis. Produce summary analysis and present to department leadership.
Perform statistical or operational analyses on assigned projects in order to identify trends, variances, and data gaps.
Administer the software and process for Enable s Annual Pay Review process and annual promotion process. Support functional leadership with critical analysis, insights and compensation recommendations.
Collaborate with department management and recommend specific actions in response to analysis.
Conduct job analysis and market pricing for new and existing jobs; analyze and document essential duties and requirements; determine FLSA classification.
Support budget and forecast process through complex modeling and analysis of compensation and benefits costs.
Provide recommendations to management to enhance equity and consistency of job descriptions.
Guide managers in the creation of objective and distinct developmental steps within job family job descriptions.
Provide guidance to management on pay and incentive decisions during the Annual Pay Review process.
Serve as a source of expertise on reporting systems and data sources.
Conduct monthly/quarterly audits of HRIS system and third-party compensation applications to ensure accuracy and validity of compensation and position data; Identify potential process or data issues and determine appropriate course of action.
Maintain the company s job description database and associated applications.
Produce procedures to document data sources, analysis methods, and protocols; Assist in the development or refinement of procedures to ensure consistent and equitable administration of compensation plans.
Produce and maintain data specific to projects/programs/processes.
Prepare and review training materials, resources and communications; Partner with internal communications to update materials in line with plan documents.
Provide training to HR and/or employees on compensation topics.
Process and track vendor invoices.
Develop and maintain job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting or Human Resources required.
Master s degree in Human Resources preferred.
Five (5) years of experience performing complex statistical, financial or human resources analysis.
Three (3) years of experience in compensation administration and analysis preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations, including but not limited to Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Equal Pay Act and Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), COBRA, and FMLA.
