We are currently seeking Construction Inspectors in Ventura County, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for providing daily inspection of construction work within a given discipline to ensure the project is in compliance with plans and specifications
Maintains records of work assignments.
Reports on the quality of construction.
Assists in preparation of written reports of inspections.
Assembles a variety of information for the preparation of construction reports and studies.
Assists in the inspection of private construction performed under permit to assure conformity with regulations.
Investigates complaints and consults with the public.
Determine quality, materials, and workmanship through inspection.
Read engineering plans and specifications.
Assist in the preparation of comprehensive reports
Effectively communicate in writing and orally.
Performs related duties as required.

Graduation from high school or equivalent and approximately two (2) years of full-time paid experience performing public works construction and inspection field work.
Experience with Caltrans, roadways/highways/bridges.
Basic construction methods, procedures, and materials.
Principles of basic math.
Basic Methods and practices of public works inspection.
Determine quality, materials, and workmanship through inspection.
Read engineering plans and specifications.
Assist in the preparation of comprehensive reports
Effectively communicate in writing and orally.
