As a Senior Analyst, you will support strategy development, strategic planning, and innovation by assessing internal and external trends, best practices, and customer expectations; conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify breakthrough insights; and making game-changing recommendations to all levels of leadership that inform our strategy and priorities, and improve our business results.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Identifies and collects data required for due diligence on strategic assessments, long range plans and potential new products and services as an addition to our portfolio; utilizes these findings to develop a recommendation for next steps. This includes CCI s market positioning and/or product positioning.
Develops detailed analytical models to support financial, technical and scenario decisions.
Manages strategic assessments (including market competitive analysis) and valuation of new business opportunities and potential threats to sustainability of current business plans.
Participates in the strategic planning process by researching prospective trends, business partners, competitors, emerging technologies, and applications while managing key work streams.
Drives evaluation, consensus-building, decision-making and implementation of Cox's strategies on specific industry issues, policies, emerging technologies, platform and convergence decisions, intellectual property rights and special projects.
Increases project exposure from both routine and ordinary to new assessments and strategic decisions with both internal and external contributors. Provides perspective and recommendations for whether to move forward with new initiatives/opportunities.
Discovers and investigates emerging technologies and services for fit and value creation within the Cox portfolio.
5 or more years of experience required in related field
3 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree
Requires strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
Prior consulting, banking, or researcher experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
BS/BA in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Marketing, Business, etc.).
Prior experience working for a management consulting firm, investment bank, or equity research
Advanced financial modeling preferred
