The Claims Assistant provides administrative and claims support to the VP of Corporate Insurance, Claims Director, and Claims Supervisor. This position also oversees workflow for Workers Compensation Manager and Claims Adjusters/Claim Supervisors and other areas of the Insurance Department as needed.
Essential Job Duties
* Responsible for entry of all claim payments and check process dates, new vendor codes into STARS
* Responsible for weekly import reconciliations
* Responsible for coordinating all claim file audits with outside companies
* Responsible for reconciliation of STARS transactional report (claim payments) to G/L entries quarterly basis
* Maintains Large Loss (Greater than $1M) Narrative Report for Claims Manager
High school degree with 3 - 5 years' experience.
* Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Power Point, and Excel are required
* Strong problem solving and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines is required
