This Senior Paralegal position is an individual contributor role that is part of a dynamic in-house litigation team. The role reports to Senior Managing Counsel, Litigation, located in Bloomfield, Connecticut.

We are seeking a self-motivated team player who is creative and will be able to independently follow through to project completion. This position requires exercising substantial independent judgment and initiative.
As a member of the Litigation team, an ideal candidate will:
Support the efficient management of a large docket of litigation matters
Manage eDiscovery projects and subpoena responses
Provide paralegal support on bankruptcy and collection matters
Conduct fact gathering interviews with clients and witnesses
Assist in project management work related to litigation initiatives within the legal department
Perform legal research, draft correspondence, track and report matters through the case management system, and monitor case schedules and filing deadlines
Regularly interact with outside counsel, business clients and expert witnesses
Conduct document reviews and manage document productions
Knowledge of eDiscovery and prior experience with document review databases, such as Relativity is a plus.
5+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house litigation department, preferably including experience with complex eDiscovery projects and healthcare litigation is a must.
Bankruptcy experience desired, but not necessary.
Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize workload and anticipate what needs to be done.
Exceptional written and verbal communications, ability to professionally interact with law firms, attorneys, staff and clients.
Project management experience preferred.
Candidates should have a college degree or be qualified in an American Bar Association approved curriculum and, ideally, have passed the Paralegal Advanced Competency Examination. College degree strongly preferred.
