The Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting the Mill’s Visions and creating long term value measured by improved equipment reliability through the use of Operations Excellence and do it from an MBM® perspective (5 Dimensions and Guiding Principles). Specifically, the position focuses on improving equipment reliability (capable, stable and predictable) thereby reducing unplanned events while improving uptime, availability and costs. Reliability improvements are expected as a result of utilizing reliability best practices and developing complete asset strategies to manage and/or mitigate the risk consequences of premature failures.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Responsible for the implementation and advancement of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Preventative Maintenance (PM), and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies in an effort to achieve the highest levels of asset availability throughout the mill
Become a subject matter expert in the design and operation of rotating equipment, development of equipment strategies to include lubrications, conditions monitoring, and preventive maintenance, and management of mechanical integrity to include tanks, pressure vessels, and piping
Develop and implement plans for continuous improvement of production equipment, processes, and process controls
Work closely with both operations and maintenance in the development of long-term equipment maintenance strategies and Operator Basic Care (OBC) as well as support troubleshooting efforts through formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Two (2) years of engineering and reliability experience within an industrial manufacturing or military environment
Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and ability to facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Experience with predictive maintenance technologies and preventative maintenance systems
Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
