Job Description: Job Summary The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Works on problems where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Performs engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Performs work which involves conventional types of plans, investigation, surveys, structures or equipment with complex features for which there are precedents. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May also review vendor capability to support development. Other duties may be assigned as required.
Education and Experience Requirements Requires a BS EE degree and 3+ years of experience or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Skills and Abilities Experience designing digital/analog circuits for multilayer PCBs Experience composing product technical specifications and test plans Experienced in the use of lab test equipment; oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, network analyzer Basic knowledge of programming of microcontrollers and scripting languages. Proficient with Altium Designer FPGA and/or RF experience a plus
