Job Summary The individual is to supervise process and procedures in both shipping and receiving departments. The individual is responsible for proper and accurate maintenance of inventory in Finished Goods. The individual is responsible that all shipments are packaged and shipped with quality and correctly. Oversees the receipts of goods delivered and received into inventory.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Supervises employees in verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments and in preparing items for shipments.
Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. ( This involves reviewing Shipping Pick List and Commercial Invoices prior to being scanned, then once scanned reviewing documents have been scanned. Filing documents in cabinet and binders )
Maintains various files and records - both computerized and hard copy files.
Packages and ships orders accordingly, following SOP's.
Receives purchases orders accordingly, following SOP's.
Supervises employees who count, weigh, and identify items in shipping and receiving department. ( Ensures that all are following all steps of the procedure )
Ensures the cost effectiveness of the delivery/receiving function, including the control of labor utilization - preventing excess hours, downtime and overtime .
Studies shipping orders to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
Resolving any and all customer complaints. Providing possible resolutions to eliminate issue in reoccurring.
Provides supervision, training, scheduling, and guidance to shipping/receiving personnel.
Plans, organizes and supervises the delivery function of the department ensuring timely and efficient delivery of high quality product/material.
Preparation and revisions of detailed SOP documentation in both areas of shipping and receiving. ( Preparing ECR's and revising procedures, training personnel on changes )
Promotes positive working environment. Responds proactively to performance concerns, discipline, employee complaints and other employee relations matters.
Provides initial and on-going training to personnel related to job duties and performance expectations.
Investigates and resolves any and all CAPA's assigned. Implementing changes and training required personnel on changes made.
Ensures that Finished Goods is organized, neat, locations are assigned and area is safe.
Ensures that Inventory Assessment is done bi-monthly. ( Environmental Verification )
Ensures that Inventory Verification is done quarterly. Reports are run and that unverified lots are located.
Ensure that packages are received on a daily basis. Handles any issues that may arise.
Performs yearly Physical Inventory. ( During the month verifies quantities, verification of inventory, handle issues with inventory as they arise ).
Ensures that supplies are issued, ordered and organized. ( handles any issues that may arise )

Education and Experience Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field or higher and/or 4 - 6 years' experience.
Skills and Abilities
Role: Supervises, with operational focus in an area of functional expertise.
Responsibility: Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry level exempt employees. Assignments are received in task oriented terms. Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents.

Level: Supervisory with human resources responsibilities, including employee performance evaluation reviews
