As a CSC Pharmacist, you will be responsible for oversight of the packaging and bar‐ coding operations and staff of the Consolidated Services Center (CSC) pharmacy. Will assist in development of CSC pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure all federal and state regulations are strictly adhered to. The pharmacist will also ensure all appropriate records are maintained and that all quality assurance validation occurs in accordance with Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE:

Develops and/or reviews all policies and procedures for unit dose packaging and over‐wrap bar‐code labeling operations within the CSC. 

Manages the SMART, PACMED, ConnectRX interfaces to ensure proper drug distribution to Nashville CSC customers. 

Performs pharmacist check of packaged and bar‐coded pharmaceuticals as required; assures accuracy of all packaged and bar‐coded pharmaceutical products. 

Verifies accuracy of barcode and drug changes being communicated to facilities about bar‐code changes 

Assures all policies and procedures are in compliance with state and federal regulations. 

Actively works with federal and state officials to proactively develop necessary policies, procedures, and quality assurance checks. 

Maintains and validates operational performance of pharmacy packaging and bar‐coding automation technology. 

Develops the knowledge, skills, and the functional competency of pharmacy technicians involved in the packaging and bar‐coding operations. 

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor of Science degree or PharmD from an ACPE (Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education) School of Pharmacy. * Current Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.

* Current Consultant Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.

* Minimum of two or more years supervisory or leadership experience preferred. * Strong knowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharamacotherapeutics as well as the use and application of new medications and technology.
