Manage data gathering, analysis and reporting of Spend and other Procurement related data. Work with the Corporate Procurement team to execute sourcing projects within selected scope of supply categories (Direct and Indirect). Perform strategic sourcing events. (i.e. Competitive Bids, Reverse Auctions and others) and analyze results. Compile historical baselines and develop Forecasts for future Spend. Manage interface with selected vendors to ensure proper engagement and participation in different sourcing events and activities, helping to drive to due dates and deliverables. Negotiate with vendors to improve pricing, product quality, and delivery as assigned by supervisor. Works on multiple projects as a project team member. Works on small to large, complex projects that require increased skill in multiple technical environments and knowledge of direct and indirect spend categories.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages Spend analysis, requests for quotes and proposals, benchmarking of bid results, calculation of historical baseline pricing, cost savings, final proposal cost impacts and creation of awarding scenarios with category manager(s).
  • Participates in the selection and implementation of spend consolidation, category management and overall supply chain strategies to ensure high quality, on time delivery and competitive/ advantageous commercial terms.
  • Recommends and participate in the category management, processes, and procedures that are consistent with corporate policy, project requirements and sound commercial, legal and ethical practices.
  • Develops specifications for issuing and awarding bids to suppliers through sourcing process.
  • Forecast requirements for categories based on historical data, understanding of the business cycle and market drivers, including store openings and closings, as well as an understanding of item-specific needs based on business activity.
  • Develops Procurement Reporting for presentations to C-suite (monthly).
  • Identifies and engages services of new suppliers in support of category requirements.
  • Develops "Should-Cost Model" for selected commodities to enable effective price negotiations.
  • Evaluate purchasing decisions based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including item/ unit cost, lead time, freight impact, minimum order requirements, space considerations, risk of obsolescence, etc. to deliver lowest landed cost while maintaining high service levels.
  • Maintains key supplier data in Oracle ERP system
  • Develops Standard Operating Procedures for the position's routine work and tasks.
  • Works in special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Educational Requirements:
