As the a Manager of Wine & Spirits Beverage Development at Gallo, you will be responsible for the management of the Wine & Spirits beverage development department, including overseeing the development and execution of new and improved wine, spirit, alcoholic beverages and other innovative opportunities. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading and developing staff members in the execution of assigned projects.
What You Will Do-
Manages the screening and selecting of flavors for beverage formulation.
Oversees, conducts, and monitors flavor stability and long-term beverage stability evaluations.
Partners with flavor suppliers to develop new flavors for new beverages.
Works with the finance department to provide initial cost estimates for new beverage commercialization.
Leads complex research with consumer insights, marketing and product development, or winemaking/spirit making partners to align with corporate strategies including time frames, resource limitations, and determination of appropriate methodology.
Integrates information from multiple disciplines and interprets results in the context of the business opportunity to influence business decisions.
Directs activities of the Product Development team to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget.
Manages team members in assessing the product portfolio for diversification and performance, recommends opportunities for growth and improvement and guides the development of the individual style targets for multiple winemaking organizations, spirit making, and business unit or product categories.
What You Need-
Bachelors of Science degree in Food Technology, Biology, Enology, Chemical Engineering, or Microbiology, plus 8 years of product development, winemaking or food technology experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master of Science degree in Food Technology, Biology, Enology, Chemical Engineering, or Microbiology plus 6 years of product development, winemaking, or food technology experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Experience working within consumer packaged goods.
Experience working with formulating new products.
What Will Set You Apart-
Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Marketing Research, or Experimental Psychology plus 10 years of marketing research, sensory or product development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Experience working with flavors and formulating new products.
Experience with TTB Regulations.
