The Table Games Pit Boss is responsible for the oversight of customers and dealers during the shift in the absence of a Floor Supervisor. The Pit Boss must ensure the integrity of the games while providing excellent customer service. The Pit Boss has direct oversight of the dealers and will report any and all issues or concerns to the Table Games Manager .The Pit Boss will work hours appropriate to meet the needs of the business, which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Functions of the Position
Ensure Thunderbird quality guest service and cheerful atmosphere maintained in your department
Supervise up to 25 dealers
Responsible for actions of dealers
Ensure safety and cleanliness of department at all times
Reports suspicious activity to Table Games Manager or Surveillance
Pays strict attention to the observation of game play to ensure proper game protection and protection of casino assets
Assist in setting schedules and dealer rotations
Make good and proper decisions that reflect positively on you and the Casino
Responsible for the compilation of all necessary information and preparation of reports needed to comply with Tribal, Federal, and State regulations
Maintain proper compliance at all times
Run cash drawer to assist guests
Handle large amounts of cash
Pay out jackpots and payouts
Cash checks, credit card and EFT’s
Track guests under guidelines set forth in Title 31 training
Exchange coins and chips for guests
Keep accurate records of monetary exchanges and vouchers
Obtain customer signatures as policy demands
Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and general public
Perform other duties as assigned

Direct supervisory responsibilities for Table Game Dealers.
Required to walk, sit and stand for periods of time.

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and move intermittently throughout the day.
Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
Exposure to smoke and second hand smoke.
Noise level can be minimal to intense.
High school diploma (or equivalent combination of education and experience combined).
One (1) year Table Games experience required
One (1) year previous cash handling position preferred.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and obtain a key gaming license.
