Job Description:

The Assistant Vault Manager is responsible for money coming in and out of the casino. The Assistant Vault manager is will maintain the vault levels are balanced and the kiosk machines are in proper working order. The Assistant Vault Manager will be responsible for ensuring the Slot department and staff is in compliance with State/Federal/Tribal policy and procedures, regulations, and laws.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensures Thunderbird quality customer service and cheerful atmosphere maintained in your department.

  • Supervises departmental employees, scheduling proper coverage for all shifts. Maintaining and entering of time by payroll deadlines. Hiring , training direction, and Counseling of employees.

  • Maintain all departmental inventory, order supplies. Maintain using (FIFO) first in, first out method for rotation.

  • Maintain monthly departmental budget. Obtain management approval for any purchase.

  • Enforces health, sanitary and safety regulations. Ensure safety and cleanliness of department at all times.

  • Must have the ability to problem solve within the vault.

  • Understand all phases of documentation that goes to audit.

  • Establish bank deposits and change orders.

  • Oversees maintenance of any and all departmental equipment as needed.

  • Ensure proper equipment training for departmental employees.

  • Maintain proper compliance at all times, Title 31 training and convey departmental customer service training as requested.

  • Must speculate based on the past to order the correct denominations to adequately maintain a consistent amount of money in the vault.

  • Delegation of authority to vault members.

  • Oversee documentation of monies that come in and out of the vault to the audit department.

  • Responsible for employees actions while on the clock.

  • Responsible for all the currency of the vault.

  • Must maintain high levels of confidentiality at all times.

  • Any other duties as assigned or requested by management.

Equipment used

  • Money counting machines, adding machines, computers, printers.

Specific Job Requirements:

  • 2 years experience working in a vault at a casino

  • Complete understanding of infrastructure within a casino vault

  • Ability to operate a 10 key

  • Possess a very good knowledge of basic math skills

  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff

  • Skill in following instruction and working independently within established guidelines and procedures.

  • Skills in employee management

  • Flexibility to be on call 24/7

  • Ability to work in small work space

  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    Must pass Federal/State Background Investigation and be licensed by the Absentee Shawnee Gaming Commission. Provide proof of education received or transcripts, if applicable. Must be able to pass mandatory drug screens and provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
