Forklift Operators--Dudley Plywood NC
Georgia-Pacific is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a Forklift  Operator.   Successful candidates will have the opportunity to operate various types of equipment in order to meet production goals and to ensure a safe work environment. Forklift Operators will also perform basic care duties such as preventative maintenance on machinery or repairing minor issues.  If you are a safety-oriented person with a commitment to punctuality and attendance excellence, we look forward to hearing from you!
The Dudley, NC facility is one of Georgia-Pacific’s largest Building Products facilities. It manufactures Plytanium® Plywood, AC and BC, Sidings and Sturd-I-Floor® Plytanium® Plywood which is used in sheathing, roof decking, sub flooring and other specialty applications.   • 3 years of verifiable consectutive experience operating a forklift in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

  • Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime

  • Must be willing to work in a tobacco free environment

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and remain drug free

  • Must be willing to wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Must be willing to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations. 

  • Must be willing to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment

  • Must be able to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, climbing, and stooping).

  • Operating a sit down forklift  handling bundles of veneer in a fast pace environment.

  • Adhere to all safety and health rules, plant rules, policies, procedures and guidelines

  • Be able to meet or exceed production and quality goals

  • Assist team members as needed

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Perform housekeeping duties in respective work areas

Preferred Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Basic mechanical skills

  • Basic computer skills
