NationServe, a division of Overhead Door Corporation has an immediate opening for an Outside Sales Representative.


Sells residential/commercial products to commercial contractors, homeowners, and residential builders at sales office, store, showroom, or customer's place of business.


  • Calls on purchasing agents and/or superintendents of existing and potential builders.

  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective residential/commercial customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.

  • Displays or demonstrates residential/commercial products and emphasizes selling features.

  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for residential/commercial orders obtained.

  • Reads builder and commercial blue prints/scopes of work in order to quote larger jobs.

  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.

  • Builds relationship with clients.

  • Represent NationServe/Overhead Door in a professional manner.

  • Assist in collecting monies due to NationServe/Overhead Door from customers who have exceeded their credit terms.

  • Site inspections of all residential/commercial jobs prior to the installation date.

  • Participate in Trade and Home shows.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • 1-3 years Outside Sales experience, Garage Door industry experience preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to effectively present information & respond to questions from clients.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Attention to detail and problem solving.

  • Excellent telephone, written and verbal communication skills while interfacing with all levels of staff and clients.

  • Working knowledge of PC’s and related software including MS Word, Excel, Access, Lotus Notes, etc.

  • Basic math skills required.

  • Willingness to learn product and processes.

  • Must have valid DL.

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to work in outside weather conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
