Lead Chubb’s North America employee communications programs, servicing a broad array of businesses, functional groups (HR, Culture, Operations, Philanthropy, etc.), and executive priorities with the goal of creating meaningful engagement among employees in the company’s key business strategies, cultural attributes and differentiators.
In this role, he/she will have direct interaction with North America leadership in developing communication plans, while working cross-functionally with HR, IT, marketing, underwriting, claims, field operations and other disciplines. He/she will lead cross-channel employee engagement efforts through touchpoints including email, social intranet and live events.
Assess and improve current communication channels to more effectively reflect the composition of Chubb’s workforce with a bias for more digitized approaches.
Create compelling content across multiple channels that showcases Chubb’s exceptional craftspeople and culture
Through dynamic and engaging communications tactics showcase the company’s businesses successes and desired cultural attributes helping employees internalize business goals, processes, organizational changes and desired behaviors.
Provide leadership and establish governance structure for high-impact employee communications vehicles including intranet, employee newsletters, etc.
Serve as key partner and strategic advisor to North America leaders for all related internal communications efforts ensuring frequent and effective communications.
Partner closely with HR on communications for key employee initiatives such as recruiting, talent and career development, employee engagement surveys, performance measurement, etc.
Oversee the internal newsletter and Chubb social intranet; regularly update Chubb’s social intranet and maintain integrity of the content.
Develop and execute measurement tools across all employee channels.
Capture, analyze, and report results on a regular basis to ensure programs are tracking to plan.
Continuously test effectiveness of new programs or campaigns, and quickly remediate low performing programs.
Assist regional offices to support effective execution of communication campaigns in local markets.
Lead a team of direct and matrixed communications colleagues with responsibility for individual business units and support groups
Results-oriented, deadline driven professional with at least 10+ years of experience in roles of progressively increased responsibility in communications or related field, preferably in financial services and/or insurance.
Demonstrated ability to create cohesive employee communications programs that span engagement, content creation, social platforms and event management. Impeccable writer, who can deliver under tight deadlines.
Skilled in working with employee communications software and platforms (e.g. PowerPoint, intranet platforms, video, photography, video production, town halls, email marketing, etc.)
Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and/or public relations or related field of study.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and communicate progress to stakeholders
Has a “nose for news” combined with sound editorial skills and judgment
Persistent and objective in tackling complex issues
Seeks new technologies, allowing him/her to find effective ways to engage employees
Can work productively in a matrixed organization, utilizing powers of influence to affect positive outcomes
Collaborative and "hands-on" team player who builds strong relationships and pitches in without prompting
