Actuarial Analyst III – Denver, CO (Preferred Location)
The Actuarial Analyst III completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Develops pricing and strategy decisions as lead analyst supporting Colorado’s Individual and Small Group commercial markets.
Interacts with Regulators and local Sales, Underwriting, Legal, Accounting, and Executive personnel to present and defend pricing recommendations.
Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work.
Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.
Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.
Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams; at least 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAS and SQL preferred.
