Actuarial Analyst III – Denver, CO (Preferred Location)

 

The Actuarial Analyst III completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies.

 

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:  


  • Develops pricing and strategy decisions as lead analyst supporting Colorado’s Individual and Small Group commercial markets.


  • Interacts with Regulators and local Sales, Underwriting, Legal, Accounting, and Executive personnel to present and defend pricing recommendations.


  • Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work.


  • Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.


  • Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.


Qualifications: 


  • Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams; at least 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAS and SQL preferred.
