Post-baccalaureate Fellowship – Nucleic Acid Replication Division

NEB invites applications for the position of Postbaccalaureate Fellow. This is a one-year, full-time, paid position that provides an opportunity for recent college graduates to gain research experience in an industry setting. Work alongside experienced scientists while strengthening your resume for the next stage of your scientific career!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help build our Protein Engineering platform and create new designer enzymes

  • Perform a variety of molecular biology techniques, including PCR, gene cloning and mutagenesis, high-throughput enzyme assays and enzyme characterization

  • Maintain a detailed lab notebook and communicate results in a group setting

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have received a Bachelor’s degree in science no more than 3 years before the date of application to the NEB Post-baccalaureate program

  • Prior research experience in a lab setting is a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and an aptitude for learning

  • Strong scientific curiosity, integrity, creativity and self-motivation
