The Senior Research Analyst we are seeking will lead market analysis and research in the Hospitality and Travel Digital Transformation Strategies program, completing market analysis and comprehensive data analysis through IDC Retail Insights' proprietary research projects, along with ongoing communications with industry experts, hospitality and travel executives, and technology vendors and complemented by secondary research from conferences, publications, and third-party news sources. These important advisory service helps accelerate the digital transformation journey and examines the impact of technology investment on supply chain optimization, resource allocation, marketing, workforce, omni-engagement, and customer experience — with an emphasis on digital technology adoption and optimal transformation of the business to achieve business innovation and efficiency. It also includes regional-level estimates on technology spending in hospitality and travel, competitive assessments of technology vendors, and continuous monitoring of the hospitality and travel market aimed at identifying key business and technology investment trends.
Grow Hospitality and Travel Digital Transformation Strategies research program through thought leadership and business development
Meet the research requirements of the programs
Support client inquiry related to research reports and topics pertinent to research
Coordinate the Hospitality and Travel Digital Transformation Strategies program with other regions
Contribute research and thought leadership to consulting projects
Collaborate with IDC colleagues on Blockchain, IoT, Robotics, AR, AI and ML
Bachelor's degree or higher in disciplines such as Hospitality and Travel, Business and/or IT
At least 3-5 years working with Hospitality and Travel Technologies
Experience in understanding the research needs of clients
Ability to quickly synthesize data from various sources – interviews, surveys, secondary research and other IDC research
Excellent speaking skills
Excellent writing skills
Facility with the use of MS Excel and PowerPoint
