Job Description:


  • Participate in the investigation of innovative 5G technologies to improve the network virtualization infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot complex problems related to the design and implementation of a greenfield 5G Core network that will utilize software-defined networking and network virtualization.

  • Evaluate and implement solutions with Infrastructure as a Service and Configuration Management tools.

  • Ensure that solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices and/or assist in the development of these standards and best practices.

  • Routinely research, analyze, test, retest, and troubleshoot complex problems.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with strict deadlines, both as an individual contributor and team player.

  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing while staying abreast of new technology/technical areas

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred, or six or more years of professional experience

  • Solid Understanding of routing protocols, firewalls, TCP/IP networking, and Sub-netting with operations experience.

  • Can design and develop, plan, and implement LANs and WANs using routers, switches and network security devices.

  • Strong Scripting Skills (Python, Perl, and Bash).

  • Linux background required

  • Developing solutions with Infrastructure as a Service and Configuration management tools like Ansible, OpenStack, Chef, Puppet

  • Data handling and information security

  • Software-defined networking, routing, switching and VPNs

  • Software-defined radio access networks, for the radio connection to mobile handsets and devices

  • Network Functions Virtualization, for virtualizing physical network applications and functions such as gateways, firewalls or load balancing

  • Designing, planning, and implementing Data Center Solutions

  • Automation and orchestration, for handling changes quickly and efficiently based on conditions or loads

  • Wireless technologies (4G/5G/WiFi) and IoT platforms.

Additional Position Requirements:

A background investigation and drug test is required.
