A brief summary of the types of projects include, urban expressways, bridges, underground utilities, dam construction, asphalt/concrete paving and water/wastewater treatment plants.
Under general supervision, performs safe and efficient duties necessary in the heavy construction industry. The incumbent will need to operate in a safe and efficient manner following all personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements. Must be able to travel (relocate) from jobsite to jobsite for continued employment, able to work both scheduled and non-scheduled overtime, and able to work night (second or third) shift assignment. If slipforming operation is in progress, able to work 12 hours or more per day, 7 days per week, for two weeks plus period of time.

Capable of working on interior multi-point suspended scaffold.

Ability to use with accuracy Spirit/carpenter level.
Ability to use with accuracy Carpenter, bevel and tri squares.
Ability/knowledge/experience in utilizing ANSI Crane hand signals.
Ability/experience in receiving, understanding and reacting to verbal transmitted instructions/commands via two-way radio.
Limited ability/knowledge/experience in performing safety maintenance equipment check for hand and power tools, construction and portable equipment utilized by the craft/trade.
Basic mechanical abilities to perform maintenance, adjustment and minor repair on hand and power tools, construction and portable equipment utilized by the craft/trade.
Working knowledge/experienced in the common methods of torquing cap screws and high strength bolt assemblies.
