CAI is hiring!...We are seeking an efficient, detail-oriented Government Market Research Analyst to join our growing organization. In this position, you will gather, manage, analyze, and interpret competitive and market research data. You will work closely with our consulting teams to keep them informed on key news affecting the business, technology-based business trends, and legislative and policy analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collect data on competitors and marketplace and consolidate information into actionable items, reports and presentations
Stay up to date on general and specific industry trends and report news and decisions that directly affect the business goals and objectives
Provide research and policy analysis related to legislation, organizational priorities, and/or other relevant public policies.
Interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations
Use online market research and catalogue findings to databases
Provide competitive analysis on various companies' market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
BS Degree in Public Policy, Communications, Marketing or related field
Experience researching information from divergent sources and compiling it into a cohesive reporting structure.
Experience with legislative, planning, policy or corporate initiatives at two or more of the following levels: Federal, state, regional or local.
Experience presenting to and communicating with government or corporate staff and/or program leadership.
Proven market research analysis experience
Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen
Familiarity with CRM programs
Strong analytical and critical thinking
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
