A Day In The Life Typically Includes:


 


  • Maintaining cleanliness of work area throughout shift to ensure a safe and orderly environment

  • Adhering to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures

  • Operating a variety of material handling equipment such as forklifts, clamp lifts, and box clamps to load/unload raw materials, store product in warehouse and to load semi-trucks with finished products

  • Performing a daily equipment inspection and complete inspection form

  • Completing material handlers recording sheets for quantities, grades, waste and item numbers

  • Operating shrink-wrap machines

What You Will Need:


Basic Qualifications:

 


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • A minimum of six (6) months experience operating a forklift

  • Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions

  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day

  • Willing and able to work twelve (12) hour shifts, to include rotating, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime

  • Willing and able to work up to an additional 12 hour shift(s) to cover vacations, call offs, or any other planned & unplanned absences

  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment

  • Willing and able to work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals and other substances

  • Willing and able to push and pull up to 100lbs.

  • Willing and able to lift up to 50lbs routinely

  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment

  • Willing and able to work at heights of 20 feet or more

What Will Put You Ahead?


Preferred Qualifications:

 


  • At least one (1) year of experience operating a forklift and/or material handling


  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or military experience
