Through cross functional communication, this individual directs, implements, and coordinates the Utah site operations. He or she will act as an advisor between the Utah site and BBC Corporate Headquarters on issues which impact the Utah facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
Take the lead role in communicating and demonstrating the Bob Barker Company Vision, Mission, and Values for the Utah site.
Partner with BBC Corporate Headquarters on the development of overall objectives and long range goals for the Utah site. Ensure the Utah site achieves their business objectives by providing direction and oversight to the Utah management team.
Directs all logistics, warehouse, freight, screening, and embroidery shop activities for the Utah site. Manages day to day site events to ensure timely and accurate delivery of incoming / outgoing inventory from the Utah site to BBC customers. Works with local management to ensure efficient utilization of site resources, to avoid / eliminate redundancies and to maintain commonality in performance criteria and policy application.
Support the Utah site in their overall P&L targets. Fluent in cost drivers which impact the Utah site P&L. Conduct monthly P&L reviews with BBC Operations Team and Finance to discuss P&L drivers and opportunities for improvement.
Identify problems and drive efforts to improve inventory accuracy and procedures.
Partners with Corporate Human Resources on staff development and employee engagement initiatives.
Work with the Director of Distribution to evaluate warehouse infrastructure projects to deliver efficiencies, optimize revenue opportunities, and reduce costs.
Partner with Director of Distribution to establish and ultimately be responsible for the implementation of approved strategies for the Utah site.
Partner with Director of Distribution to develop a capacity plan for the Utah Site. Included will be processes and procedures.
Partner with Safety & Environmental to create a strong safety culture throughout the Utah site.
Partner with cross functional teams Sales, Marketing, Quality, Innovation, Finance, Operations, Manufacturing and Human Resources as needed.
Ability to deep dive into small / big issues across the entire scope of the Utah site.
Represent Bob Barker Company in regards to local civic matters.
End to end responsibility for the Ogden, Utah site reporting to the Director of Distribution.
A completed BS / BA in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field from an accredited college/university or ten (10) plus years of distribution experience with a minimum of 7 years in a management role.
Innovative, team oriented leader who has proven success in creating logistics / operational improvements in a constantly evolving environment with rapidly changing priorities.
In conjunction with corporate HR, possesses a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws and practices.
Demonstrated team building and leadership skills with the ability to successfully and effectively organize, manage and lead an organization of diverse disciplines, while keeping team members engaged in the process.
Computer proficiencies to include Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Knowledgeable in WMS applications.
Knowledgeable in Transportation and Logistics
P & L experience with budget responsibility.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to maintain OSHA requirements.
