Position Overview

Responsibilities:
  • Support development and optimization of custom reporting and supporting systems.
  • Aid in review, analysis and scoping for any new product and enhancement requests with team members while providing recommendations on implementation.
  • Own development and monitoring of quality assurance systems for Walmart products.
  • Support business process improvement for Walmart products.
  • Extracting data as needed from NPD systems for use in custom reporting.


Location - Bentonville, Arkansas or Port Washington, NY

Requirements
  • Curiosity, independent thinker, lifelong learner.
  • Meticulous code and process documentation habits.
  • Experience building and troubleshooting ETL systems and associated automation.
  • 3+ yrs. Experience with relational databases, Mysql preferred.
  • Proficient in one or more of the following, Java, node.js, python.
  • Comfortable switching back and forth between Waterfall and Agile approaches to project management.
  • Bachelors in Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Familiarity with non-relational/NoSQL databases, distributed computing.
  • Familiarity with deploying and managing databases and applications in a cloud environment (Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure are preferred).
  • Familiarity with statistics (descriptive statistics, regression, segmentation, forecasting, etc.) in SAS, SPSS, R, python, etc.
  • Familiarity with developing and deploying client facing data science implementations.
