The Account Reconciliation Specialist must reconcile credit balances on sequences, in undistributed, in unapplied and in suspense accounts through the correct application of payments, applying and correcting adjustments, issuing refund checks to guarantors and third party payers.

It is the responsibility of  the Account Reconciliation  Specialist  to research and resolve the credit by following established protocol, and notate the Epic System with the appropriate codes and narrative notes.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Research and determine the reason for a credit balance

  • Following established protocol, resolve the credit.

  • Report any trends, i.e., payor consistently not paying according to contract, to Supervisor

  • Maintain production and accuracy to meet at least the minimums established for the department

  • When applicable, assist other departments within the CBO to assist in meeting the Balanced Score Card goals.

Qualifications


  • In-depth knowledge of debits and credits as applicable to Accounts Receivable

  • Proficiency in the applicable Epic Resolute modules.

  • Ability to add, delete and edit data defined by Security Level

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • At least one year of relevant Account Reconciliation experience
