The Account Manager will be responsible for managing both an export and import based territory with strong emphasis in TPEB/TPWB and TAEB trades. The territory will consist of 50-75 accounts, most of which require a sophisticated, consultative type sell. Should be skilled in international sales, negotiating, selling techniques, delivering presentations and supply chain logistics.

70% Sales Budget- meet specified territory budget plan by developing sales call plans and call specific objectives and materials; conducting sales calls with accounts, following up on commitments and issues that arise during sales calls.
15% Business Development- includes strategy for increasing business with each account in the sales territory, target account budget, goals and tactics, and management of sales leads. Development of Logistics leads for CEVA and assist in securing additional revenue streams. Growth in volume and revenue for key customers within territory.
10% Communication- includes (1) continuous intelligence gathering from accounts and other sources to identify actions by accounts or competitors that could mean a threat or opportunity for APL, overall or for a specific market (s); and (2) ensuring prompt forwarding of the information to all pertinent individuals in the APL organization. Problem resolution for customers by driving internal customers to find solutions to issues.
5% Administration- includes timely and accurate update to sales databases on account specific activity, names, addresses, key contacts, phone and fax numbers for all accounts in the assigned sales territory.
College degree required
Minimum 5 years APL/Industry Experience
Minimum 3 years sales experience with global customers
Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing sales tactical plans
Demonstrated understanding of sales-related information technology and its applications
Demonstrated understanding of rate construction methodologies
Must possess a valid driver's license
