We are currently seeking a Manager of Consulting with modern Interoperability experience to expand our Healthcare consulting services. Location is flexible in the US, with travel around 60%.

Role and Responsibilities

You will spend most of your time shaping and leading healthcare insurer interoperability programs to address strategic business challenges and deliver the highest quality work to our clients. You will also work with leadership to identify and pursue business opportunities that provide value to our clients.

  • Provide project leadership and direction on one or more interoperability projects while maintaining a high-quality level of service and delivery.

  • Develop and lead client relationships on projects

  • Manage delivery dates, resourcing and schedules

  • Facilitate project execution by providing support in project-level issue resolution and scope management

  • Help build, lead, and develop team of onshore/offshore consultants

  • Identify and pursue up-sell opportunities

  • Contribute to business development through activities such as pre-sales client presentations, research, and writing proposal, RFP responses and SOWs

  • Position industry insights as they pertain to client needs & requirements

  • Seek to deeply understand yourclient’s business challenges, and provide thought leadership in addressing these issues

  • Work proactively to bring the best of Cognizant expertise to their client(s)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Understanding of 21st Century Cures Act legislation and its implication to US health insurers.

  • Experience in healthcare information data standards, terminology normalization, consent management, and API management.

  • Experience in HIPAA and related compliance approval processes.

  • Hands-on exposure to the HL7 FHIR standard.

  • Experience in matrixed multi-departmental program management and coordination, including governance.

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in healthcare insurance industry in a consulting or industry practitioner role

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience working in an on/off-shore model

  • Minimum 5 years+ of Healthcare Payer experience.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing business/technical concepts to all audiences

  • Strong written communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to travel 60%+ of the time

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare ontology-based terminologies.

  • Experience in EHR and EMR implementations (e.g. Cerner, EPIC).

  • Experience in data exchange of trusted networks (e.g. eHI, EHNAC, eP3 Foundation).

  • Experience core administration system integration (e.g. TriZetto Facets, QNXT).

  • Experience that spans working with members’ authorization data, claims data, clinical data, medical management data, and more.

  • Experience in master data management, ETL, and/or API management best practices.

  • Experience in data and/or API governance best practices.

  • Proven ability to identify and pursue business development opportunities.

  • Experience building deep client relationships and identifying client's priority needs for service and support.

  • Knowledge of process flows, systems and procedures which aids analysis and recommendations for solution offerings to exploit new business opportunities.

  • Ability to manage teams of consultants and work with cross functional and client facing teams

  • A positive, results oriented style, evidenced by listening, motivating, delegating, influencing, and monitoring the work being done to develop the next generations of leaders.

  • An extremely high level of energy, sense of urgency, creativity, and decisiveness coupled with the ability/willingness to work hard and well under pressure.

  • Ability to establish immediate credibility among peers, a professional who is respected for intelligence and technical expertise.

  • Master's Degree in Health Information Management highly preferred.
