Koch Agronomic Services is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Turf & Ornamental (T&O) business unit. Koch T&O manufactures established and proven fertilizer technologies for the T&O industry. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven individual to manage sales in our Western Region (AZ, NM, CA, NV, UT, ID, WA, OR and western Canada). You will work with the value chain to drive sales, implement strategies and build relationships. You will also be a critical part of the U.S. business team and will interact with various business capabilities. The successful applicant will have the ability to office from home efficiently and effectively, have strong communication & presentation skills, demonstrate strong economic thinking and decision-making capability and be a passionate & driven self-starter who is accountable for results. The successful individual will also have the ability to build strong relationships that translate into long-term business success, be a team player and collaborate with others, and exhibit an enthusiasm and passion for this industry and our products.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Develop sales plan and priorities for the West Region
Sales forecasting for the West Region
Educate and train on our products (buyers, blenders, distributors, end-users)
Be the voice of customer with marketing, product line and management
Work independently, self-driven to achieve results
Attend and actively promote our products at National and Regional Trade Associations
What You Will Need:
3+ years' sales experience with value added products
Experience in the turf & ornamental, crop, fertilizer, chemical or Ag business
Bachelor’s degree OR 4+ years of experience in the turf & ornamental industry with a HS Diploma or GED
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Valid driver's license
What Will Put You Ahead?
Bachelor’s degree in Turf Science or a related field
Experience in the Turf industry, fertilizer sales or plant protection products
Experience with value added products and broad portfolio sales
Experience managing/sales in a large geography
Residency within the Region (relocation if required)
