Job Description:

The Process and Capability Engineering team is a newly created team within the Individual Life Valuation COE.  The team's mission is to serve as Engineers of the Valuation process, driving its continual evolution while ensuring appropriate structural integrity.  The team is seeking as Associate Manager with a technology and innovation mind, to support the team's mission.  The Associate will work with FASB Targeted Improvements, as well as work closely with the Modeling COE in laying the groundwork to transform the end-to-end Individual Life Reporting process.  We are looking for a thought leader with leadership potential who can help build out the existing processes as well as influence and incorporate process improvements.


This position will provide the associate with the opportunity to collaborate with a wide array of functions, including Finance, Valuation, Modeling, Reinsurance and Corporate Actuarial.




  • Develop and Implement model and process enhancements based on business value (operational, financial, insights, foundational)

  • Identify, examine and process raw data, trends, analysis and assessments

  • Responsible for analyzing end-to-end process flows and recommending the appropriate design and development of data visualization tools to drive process efficiencies

  • Assist with the user acceptance testing of model and infrastructure-based process solutions

  • Support the development and maintenance of an end-to-end reporting process

  • Serve as thought leader for peers in driving awareness around innovative technology solutions






  • College Degree (BA/BS) required

  • Enthusiastic, curious, resourceful and a self-starter comfortable working in fast paced dynamic environment

  • Experience with industry standard data analysis and visualization software, such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau and PowerBI

  • Ability to grasp complex subject matter, provide insightful analysis and develop innovative solutions

  • Experience with data movement from data stores into Analytic Warehouses using SQL or ETL Tools

  • Experience with process improvements and automations

  • Proven ability to work with broad teams to accomplish goals

  • 3+ years of experience

  • Familiarity with actuarial concepts, financial reporting and/or individual life insurance products a plus (but not required)
