Job Description:

General Overview
At an intermediate level, operates and maintains buildings, facilities, and grounds at a single or multiple campuses. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Provides professional customer service and communication to building tenants. This position utilizes knowledge and experience in own discipline but is still building higher-level knowledge and skills. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction from supervisor, manager and/or more experienced colleagues.
Maintains knowledge and awareness of current industry trends, best practices, current methods and technologies related to facility processes.
Able to perform mechanical equipment repairs and preventive maintenance (filter changes, coil cleaning, belt adjustment and replacement, etc.)
Operates building systems (such as EMS, BAS, Lighting, Electrical, FAS, etc.) to support tenant needs and support safety and conservation efforts.
Performs plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and electrical work as needed.
Maintains and repairs irrigation systems, grounds and water features.
Performs maintenance and repairs on building and building equipment using various handheld manual tools and power tools.
Provides on-the-job training and day to day guidance for co-workers with less experience.
Orders parts/materials as needed for repairs and shop inventory.
May coordinate off-site maintenance and repairs as needed.
Assists management with work force planning, scheduling and dispatch.
Documents changes made to systems or equipment through appropriate communications and record keeping practices. Documents work into logs, files, system prints and other records and through communications, both oral and written, with other team members and supervisors.
May be required to travel independently or with a small crew to various facilities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Two or more years of experience in building operations and maintenance. A degree(s) in facilities management, electrical, mechanical, HVAC or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

Driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Second or Third Grade Stationary Engineer’s License
BOMA certification
Electrical, HVAC or Plumbing license
Knowledge of Data Center and Central Plant operations
