Midnight Sun Global Services, LLC is hiring a Jr. Geologist/Engineer. This position will travel to multiple job sites located in the lower 48 and Alaska. This position is eligible for telework. Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage various project tasks with minimal supervision
Perform field related tasks including collecting soil, groundwater, and air samples.
Taking measurements, performing elevation and location surveys, and evaluating site conditions.
Coordinate and direct drilling activities, including soil logging borehole geophysics, classifying soil, and installing monitoring wells in soil and bedrock formations.
Monitor well installations.
Research and produce reports and other documents that demonstrate solid understanding of geological data.
Utilize working knowledge of key regulatory guidelines and regulations.
Establish positive working relationships with peers, clients, and vendors.
Position Requirements: Required
Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related soil science/engineering discipline
3-5 years' experience overseeing environmental drilling activities utilizing a variety of drilling techniques.
Capability for critical thinking and problem solving.
Current OSHA 40hour Training
Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Exceptional communication skills.
Must be willing to travel to numerous work sites across the lower 48 and Alaska.
Must be detail oriented, able to produce highly accurate work.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
Must have a current valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Previous experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
Previous experience with Microsoft Project.
