Provisioning Unit Managers oversee the operational activities of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures; ensure adequate staffing coverage; manage daily operations, focusing on safety and performance; coach and provide career development to staff; issue work assignments and directives; correct non-compliant behavior (imposing disciplinary action as required); and perform other related duties, as assigned, including ad-hoc projects. Administrative duties may include, but are not limited to, daily/weekly/monthly reports, data entry, inventory, and product ordering.
Provisioning Unit Managers must focus on corporate objectives at all times, while keeping customer concerns and expectations in mind.
Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
Proven success as a leader with ability to preplan manpower and equipment
Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines
Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
Ability to defuse conflicts among subordinate employees
Familiarity with MS Office Suite
At least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License
Minimum of two years airline or ground handling supervisory experience
Working knowledge of AOA environment, including operating ramp equipment
Extensive knowledge of QIK, Sabre & ICM, Staff Manager
Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Business or related field
Experience working with and managing union members
Familiar with TSA, FAA and OSHA regulations
Airport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
Work weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts
May be required to participate in safety, compliance, and/or corporate calls during off hours
Stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 70 pounds; provide assistance to customers with disabilities
