The Project Manager (Technology), will be responsible for coordinating activities for major Epiq Technology and Business Process projects. The PM will report to the Director of Project Management and will have a day-to-day presence with our internal client executives in the Workflow and Automation work group.
The PM will focus specifically on the following types of projects:
Custom software product development projects built by Epiq and partner-firm associates.
Integration of 3rd party developed software products into our environment, including integration to other software and processes. These projects include significant activities related to testing and deploying complex technology elements.
Various other projects that span domains including Product Development, IT Infrastructure, multiple international regions, and different business groups.
Initial focus will be on a Workflow product built upon the Salesforce platform. Enhancing this product, integrating it to other parts of the business, and coordinating its rollout to multiple internal organizations will be a major focus of this role.
The PM is expected to play a significant leadership role for critical Epiq projects, driving collaboration across diverse cross-functional project teams, aligning priorities, setting expectations, and managing dependencies.
The PM will be part of an Agile team and will have opportunities to wear multiple hats. Previous experience as a Scrum Master or Business Analyst will be highly valued.
Ensure the delivery of projects on-time, on-budget, in-scope, and to the highest level of customer satisfaction
Responsible for planning, resourcing, scheduling, project kickoff, delivery and closing
Develop creative analytical framework for managing multiple projects concurrently
Validate resource and project duration and requirements
Facilitate the definition and maintenance of technical, functional and business requirements
Collaborate with other parts of the organization to address and resolve customer issues and to continuously improve on processes from engagement to delivery
Develop and/or improve tracking tools to measure project progress and benefit provided to clients
Work closely with all project stakeholder groups to coordinate the project milestones
Track project actuals against defined milestones and revisit the overall plan as and when necessary
Ensure delivered products meet defined business requirements and are of high quality
Track projects against approved budgets and report on forecasts and variances
Work with multiple stakeholders in the Business and IT to meet the desired objectives
Define project scope, resource requirements, budget, timeline, deliverables and milestones, evaluates risk and courses of action on an ongoing basis and selects the best alternative to attain project goals
Maintain focus on project plan tasks, manage risks throughout the project life cycle, and make contingency plans to manage issues that pose risk to budget, time delivery or functionality
Determine the detailed information requirements of the project stakeholders and the project/organization, develop feedback routines to ensure two-way communication
Determine the requirements for project time reporting, develop a communications management plan, and establishe project status reporting process and cycle
Required Qualifications & Characteristics
A minimum of 3-5 years Project Management experience
A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in a technical- or business-related field
A strong track record successfully delivering complex, large scale projects with a high level of customer satisfaction
Experience managing multiple, complex, and concurrent technology projects at varying stages, across varying customers
Experience with SOWs, contract management, staffing projects, managing risk, resourcing and planning
Experience with Cloud and hybrid-Cloud applications (AWS, Azure) is strongly preferred. Experience with Cloud Adoption best practices is preferred.
Experience with Workflow tools and concepts is preferred. Experience with the Salesforce platform is preferred.
Experience with Agile, Lean, and hybrid (e.g., Scrum development feeding a traditional change management process) delivery techniques is strongly preferred
ITIL process framework certification or knowledge is a plus, as is experience in Six Sigma methodology, including “belt” certification
