Accounting Supervisor - CPO at CPO Commerce, LLC in Pasadena, California

Job Description:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for several areas within accounting including, but not limited to, accounts payable, intercompany accounting, supplier allowances, overseeing the daily activities of team members.

Major Responsibilities:


  • Manage the accounts payable cycle for suppliers from invoice entry, discrepancy resolutions, check run, and vendor statement reconciliation

  • Work closely with Corporate AP team to identify errors and find resolutions

  • Identify expense accruals when necessary

  • Maintain Fixed asset schedule and roll forward reporting according to AFE corporate policy

  • Perform monthly and quarterly financial close activities including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations of direct reports and performing financial analysis

  • Participate in analysis of supplier allowances, calculations, pass backs, and payments

  • Monitor intercompany accounting for all business units

  • Supervise and monitor performance of the AP Team

  • Other assigned duties as needed


Skills/Knowledge Required: 

  • Strong technical accounting skills with working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Word and Excel (intermediate to advanced)

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a high volume and fast-paced environment

  • Strong technical skills, analytical capabilities and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience working with ERP systems

  • Prior supervisory experience a plus

  • Ecommerce/retail experience preferred
