West Hills Hospital is a 95-bed acute care inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Reno, Nevada, specializing in behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment options for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Job Description: The Intake Specialist performs intake screenings for incoming new patients, and as requested for continuing patients.

Job Requirements:

Education: RN-Licensure-(Associate s, Diploma, Bachelors or Master s from an accredited college or university). Previous experience in MHC related field preferred. Ph.D. or Master s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, marriage family therapy, mental health or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting, with direct experience in patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations.

Licensure: R.N. or Master s-prepared mental health related field required; LCSW, LMFT, LSW, MFT preferred.

Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Trained in Handle with Care (HWC) and CPR within 90 days of employment (unless Mobile Assessment Evaluator). Demonstrable skill in screening and/or assessing all age groups.
