Main Objective:

To provide a College-level intern a real-life working experience in the Software Testing Lifecycle at Arthrex and to give the intern an opportunity to learn test planning, development, and execution on several different Arthrex business applications.  He/she will be involved in testing including understanding functional requirements, devising testing scenarios, writing and executing manual test cases using our HP ALM test management tool, and documenting defects and test results.  We will also provide exposure to the business analysis/requirements process as well as technical development and support functions through interaction with other departments involved in the Software Development Lifecycle.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work on Daily/Weekly dashboard reports in PowerBI

  • Reading/understanding specific business processes and user requirements to gain knowledge of an Arthrex business operation and how users use the application on a daily basis.  From that, devising testing scenarios for positive and negative conditions.

  • Writing a formal test case, including test objective, prerequisites, test steps, and expected results.

  • Executing test cases to test functionality and to identify any anomalies.   Documenting and reporting those defects.

  • Automating test cases by using Selenium 

  • Attending project/release meetings and defect triage meetings with the development teams to understand how defects are resolved and then retesting the fix.

  • Participating in and helping with other SQA tasks as necessary.

  • Quest Supplier Management – create/execute test cases

  • Automation – create test cases in Selenium

  • Integrations – create/execute test cases

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree required. Preferably in MIS (Management Information Systems), CIS (Computer Information Systems), Computer Science or Business.


Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Basic to intermediate computer skills.

  • Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

  • Analytical

  • Knowledge of Programing Language – Java preferred

  • Detail oriented

  • Good documentation skills


Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
