Identifies and analyzes business needs, conducting requirements gathering and defining scope and objectives for applications integrated with business processes/data and IT infrastructure.
• Recommends solutions or improvements to business processes. • Researches business requirements, develops detailed specifications, and validates the solutions with business stakeholders. • Communicates business stakeholder needs to the development team by translating business requirements. • Owns the development, with IT support, of tools, applications, reports, and analytics to enable strategic programs and metrics for the department. • Troubleshoots technical issues and works through a resolution (root cause analysis). • Plans and executes business user acceptance testing and related test activities.
Position Requirements: For BA I: Required Experience: None required; previous Analyst experience preferred. Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Technical Discipline or related field; OR equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience equals one year of college)
Level Specific Responsibilities:
• Participates on project teams.
For BA II: Required Experience: 3 years' as Business Analyst or related experience Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Technical Discipline or related field; OR equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience equals one year of college) Level-Specific Responsibilities: • Leads cross-functional project teams. • Represents department on committees and has decision authority.
