The Ferguson Technology job family acquires, designs, implements and operates the organization's technology resources, including hardware, operating systems, communications, applications, data processing and security. The Technology Product Manager is responsible for business engagement, product roadmap development, communication strategy, and delivery of outcomes that produce business value. The Technology Product Manager works across departments to deliver products/solutions that align to Ferguson's strategic vision. In this role, you lead the product team which includes, business owners, analysts, and engineers, to execute towards the product's outcome.
Problems and issues faced often need analysis to understand; people, technology and process. Checks and makes adjustments to work methods to solve problems that are outside existing work processes and systems. Utilizes references or norms and/or standard procedures to elevate these problems (e.g., operating processes, industry standard best practices, ability to discuss in teams and with peers, or escalate issues to management).
Understands the business and knows the customer, keeps a finger on the pulse of the business and validates with business stakeholders
Serve as a bridge between technical delivery of products and services and business stakeholders
Gather and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and products
Ability to distill complex technologies and processes into more easily understood concepts
Develop and implement strategy for the product team driving minimal viable product delivery and speed to market
Knowledge of leading market and industry solutions
Responsible for a prioritized, continuous stream of value-delivering work

Report product performance to executive team and directors
Identify opportunities for continual improvement

Own and implement product vision and strategies consistent with strategic vision
Partner and collaborate with stakeholders to create a Product Roadmap and Product Canvas with a focus on feature and business value delivery
Ensure products and releases are launched correctly, to budget and on schedule
Drive the vision to expand product market opportunities
Create quarterly product themes and goals
Define KPIs to iteratively trend toward product goals
Work with product team to ensure requirements are understood
Life cycle of the product (multiple years), includes ongoing health/maintenance activities through end of life retirement
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain , Business or Business Administration, Management, Information Science, technology, or equivalent experience is required.
At least 5-7 years of experience in a technical or functional product ownership (or equivalent) role.
5+ years of experience creating, iterating, and improving end-to-end global supply chains
At least 3+ years of experience leading a team of highly skilled technology resources.
Some experience with application integration, with a general understanding of on-premise vs. cloud based application deployments.
TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
Associate is expected to operate at the functional level across the following areas of technical knowledge and skill:
Strong experience and understanding of software delivery and project management methodologies (e.g. Agile SCRUM, Waterfall, Kanban)
Expert skills with MS Office, SharePoint, Visio, Confluence, and Jira.
Working knowledge of MS Project.
Strong leadership skills in planning and strategy development.
Self-motivated, proactive, creative, efficient and the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Ability to effectively engage and motivate large groups
Demonstrated project management experience
Business process consulting skills
