Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Cabinet Designer.  If you have a love of meeting people and providing great customer service coupled with an interest in contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-billion-dollar organization, this is the position for you!

Responsibilities

As Cabinet Designer, you will:


  • Work with a wide range of customers, including builders, designers, and homeowners, to sell and specify cabinets and a range of other products, which may include lighting, appliances, and high end fixtures

  • D rawing 2020 designs, making design revisions, and create stacked molding detail drawings

  • Create PDF's & final package sign off, prices & estimates for designs

  • R eview appliance specs, cut outs, built-ins etc. when applicable; hardware drawings & location specifications

  • Respond to inquiries with accurate pricing, inventory and delivery information

  • Prepare job quotations and submittals

  • Assist customers, both by appointment and walk-ins, while utilizing suggestive sales techniques and handling complaints timely and accurately

  • Continually enhance sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image in the field

  • Work with other branch personnel to ensure great customer service from the order to the delivery and beyond

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but prior experience in sales within our industry will be considered.  A successful Cabinet Designer will possess the following:


  • 2 to 4 years experience with interior design

  • Knowledge of 20/20 or AutoCAD design software

  • House call and interior installation experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Extensive cabinetry product knowledge

  • A strong sales presence

  • Problem solving, leadership and listening skills

  • Organizational and time management skills

  • The ability to deal with a vast array of customers with varying levels of product knowledge

  • Product and vendor knowledge (or the ability to quickly learn it)
