The Head of Strategic Projects will lead, execute and deliver strategic site programs as Senior Manager, accountable for successful delivery, timeline, scope of work, programs’ cost / profitability.
He/She will be responsible for planning and implementing the project scope in a timely manner, ensuring the cost and benefits are met. Will also be responsible for reporting, monitoring and visualization of progress to ensure a successful implementation of site strategic programs.
Lead project execution with ultimate accountability for project initiation, planning, execution and control (dashboard)
Ensure communication and alignment with SLT (Senior Leadership Team) for the respective program.
Support cultural changes caused by strategic program implementation
Direct and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams and keep team members and head of departments accountable to deliver
Conduct Project Team Meetings to ensure that all stakeholders are working collaboratively in accordance to the agreed to Project Plan.
Single point of contact for all operational aspects of the Program
Ensure that the Program delivers to the agreed objectives and is successful for Lonza
Understand department needs and commit to project scope and timelines. Secure agreement to the plan from SLT (Senior Leadership Team) to Site Head.
Secure required resources and capacity commitments and obtain buy-in of all relevant stakeholders.
Effective communication of project status and risks ensuring internal stakeholders accountability and awareness.
Timely escalation of critical project issues
Control project scope and manage changes via liaison with SLT (Senior Leadership Team)
Maintenance of project risk assessment and risk mitigation plan. Manage agreed remediation plans where applicable.
Participate as a member of the Hayward Site Leadership Team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Significant experience in Operations and Quality and demonstrated success in project leadership
Demonstrate initiative with a highly proactive approach to the job with an ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, pressured environment.
Proven and demonstrated leadership, influencing and interpersonal skills – highly efficient effective communicator with skills to influence, persuade and gain the cooperation of others at all levels within a matrix management business environment.
Excellent natural coaching and people leadership skills.
