What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Assist with the issuance of the monthly/quarterly internal management flash package and prepare the reporting of all external financial statements (press releases, 10K, 10Q, etc.), including the income statement, balance sheet, statement of comprehensive income, statements of cash flow and the statement of equity, as well as all Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) sourced footnote data and tables 

  • Provide support in identifying and managing all internal and external deliverables

  • Collect, review and analyze all HFM webform-related data required for the financial statements (e.g., statements of cash flow, supplemental footnote information and tables, and account roll-forward items) and all GAAP to non-GAAP reporting

  • Assist with financial statement and footnote restatements due to new accounting pronouncements or the sale of a discontinued business

  • Eliminate intercompany and other consolidation-related entries

  • Manage add-back process

  • Interact with executives and business unit controllers and provide oversight of accounting details

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent related experience

  • CPA certification

  • 7 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting

  • Demonstrated strong math aptitude

  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Hyperion Essbase or other financial reporting/consolidation software

It’d be great if you also have:


  • Master’s degree in Business, Accounting or a related field

  • 5 years of accounting or financial reporting experience, preferably with a Big 4 auditing firm

  • Experience identifying opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources; experience developing, recommending and implementing solutions

  • Strong aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources

  • Experience producing unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
