Software Engineering Co-op
The Software Engineering Co-op will be part of software projects of various sizes within bioMérieux, responsible for implementation and testing of production code. Though expertise is not expected, ideally they bring familiarity with Java development and some experience in database modeling and design. They are a team player with emotional intelligence and solid people skills.
Principle Contributions/Accountabilities and Associated Activities
Under the instruction of a senior team member, the Software Engineering Co-op contributes to the development of specific software products within the given schedule, budget, and scope constraints. They assure that deliverables are developed and documented in compliance with established company design control and relevant regulatory statutes. They work within the department following established procedures.
Preferred Technical Skills:
General software development experience, including some web development.
Java development experience.
Object oriented (OO) analysis and design experience.
Experience with relational databases, such as Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
Familiarity with multi-tier and client-server applications.
Required Skills :
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Enthusiastic contributor who thinks proactively and delivers high quality results.
Demonstrates ability to work independently and as part of the team.
Coursework in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent degree program
