ABOUT THIS JOB
The Account Director, Client Solutions is a member of the Agency Holding Company team, dedicated to servicing Advertising Agencies that are part of Nielsen’s Holding Company business and/or large independent agencies across the United States. The scope of this function ranges from understanding and selling Nielsen’s local services (data and software), contract negotiation, addressing client questions, educating clients on the local landscape and Nielsen services to address that changing landscape, understanding consumer viewership and listenership behaviors and keeping up to date on market changes.
In this role, you will have ownership of a client list and will be responsible for associated revenue/upsell. The role provides the opportunity to develop long-term, deep relationships in driving both account management and business development. The ideal candidate should possess a strong media background and a proven track record of sales, building and expanding client relationships, delivering robust presentations, adapting to the needs of a dynamic, ever-changing environment and client base, and possessing a solutions-oriented sales style.
⦁ Prospect and develop sales revenue from both existing and potential clients.
⦁ Secure expiring business by structuring, negotiating and closing complex contract renewals.
⦁ Present opportunities to help clients grow their business through consultative selling and solid negotiating skills
⦁ Conduct client meetings to build and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction among all clients.
⦁ Utilize Salesforce to track entire sales and contract renewal cycle, including forecasting.
⦁ Articulate an excellent understanding of each product and solution, and how the data can be used to improve agency business performance.
⦁ Collaborate across Nielsen at all levels to secure and support new client wins
⦁ Provide client feedback to product leadership, participating in launches of new solutions as appropriate.
⦁ Attend client and industry-specific meetings (Travel required - 25-35%)
⦁ 5-7 years of media experience within advertising agencies, media or marketers at all levels
⦁ Understanding of the media and advertising landscape - Knowledge of TV, Radio & Digital Industries
⦁ Knowledge of Nielsen’s Local and National, Audio and/or Digital solutions preferred
⦁ Strong Interpersonal skills, highly motivated, strong orientation toward client relationships
⦁ Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously and work well with a diverse customer base and various internal teams
⦁ Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Google proficiency
⦁ BA or BS Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field
