Position Overview: The Financial Reporting Intern serves Compeer Financial's internal and external clients by providing financial accounting services. The Intern will primarily focus on Compeer's patronage dividend process by providing internal, regulatory and external financial reporting services.
Patronage: Works with estates, transfers, retirements, outstanding checks, patronage agreements, unclaimed property and general ledger balancing as appropriate.
Financial reporting: Assists with financial reporting processes and report preparation relative to call reports, shareholder reports, allowances etc.
Client service: Provides high quality service to internal and external clients by answering questions and resolving issues related to Compeer's patronage program in a timely matter.
Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working towards completing an Accounting or Finance degree, with 1-2 years of experience.
Strong working knowledge of computers and software applications such as Excel, Word, and Access.
Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills and time management required.
Must also be detail oriented, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
