What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Develop operational control processes to improve the site’s safety, quality and performance

  • Help site meet and exceed budget/P&L targets through cost control and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Work on efficiency improvement projects through use of Lean manufacturing principles, automation, etc.

  • Develop analytics, dashboards, apps and ad-hoc reporting using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Data Studio, etc., to ensure Operations has the tools they need to successfully execute daily plans

  • Identify, propose and deliver key initiatives that improve the client’s supply chain operations and/or drive efficiency into the team’s internal processes

  • Propose projects, present ROI and manage the implementation, launch and operational go-live

  • Create and maintain operational standards; ensure knowledge-sharing between sites

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or other technical and/or analytical discipline

  • 5 years of experience in one or more of these key functional areas: supply chain management, logistics, decision support systems/technology, transportation management, distribution or procurement functional responsibilities

  • Proven project management skills

  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations

  • Demonstrated ability to complete various analyses, data mining and simulations using Microsoft BI, Access and Excel to identify and scope opportunities within the customer’s supply chain

  • Solid ability to collect and analyze data for modeling, network optimization and/or supply chain redesign purposes

It’d be great if you also have:


  • Experience with ILOG, Supply Chain Guru or data modeling

  • Lean manufacturing experience
