Job Description:

The Relationship Manager (RM) is the primary liaison between Prudential and institutional Defined Benefit (DB) clients. The RM role is responsible for the daily oversight of client service delivery in support of plan administration and client needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates client requests, troubleshoots, and provides timely problem resolution

  • Partners closely with internal business partners to ensure all client needs are met

  • Provides day-to-day administrative support to DB clients, including larger and/or more complex contracts.

  • Establishes a consultative and partnership-driven approach with client’s mid-level management to C-Suite executives, third party administrators, actuaries, and auditors

  • Assesses financial data, initiates billing and payments, and ensures communication of timely reporting

  • Ensures contractual compliance and coordinates distribution of contract amendments, agreements, and trust documents

  • Provides contractual education through periodic client meetings to review contract features, relationship history, roles and responsibilities, and transactional and financial history

  • Identifies and initiates process improvements

  • Leverages business intelligence with internal business partners to increase potential for new business

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of financial services and / or insurance experience required, Defined Benefit or Pension Risk Transfer experience preferred

  • Customer-focused, self-motivated individual who displays passion and commitment to provide exceptional client service

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills including ability to easily engage others in dialogue and build/enhance relationships

  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and the ability to adapt to changing demands and requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge preferred

  • FINRA 6, 7, 63, and State Life insurance licenses preferred but not required
