Certified as ServSafe Instructor (or willing to become certified).

Required License/Registration/Certification

Job Summary
The University of Kentucky seeks candidates for a part-time temporary instructor in the Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition. Successful applicants will be prepared to lead a collaborative research program and provide excellent student learning opportunities.

The successful candidate will have a commitment to student-centered teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels,
ability to contribute to our land-grant mission through outreach and engagement with students, Cooperative Extension, and key community stakeholders

Responsibilities of this position include:
Teach the undergraduate course DHN 241.
Deliver course instruction through Canvas, grade assignments, support student learning.

DHN 241 FOOD SERVICE SANITATION. (1) This course covers the principles of food microbiology, important food borne diseases, standards that are enforced by regulatory agencies, and applied measures for the prevention of food borne diseases and other microbiological problems. It leads to certification from the National Restaurant Association.
