As an Electrical Project Engineer/ Project Manager, you will be working and collaborating with other RH2 team members in the planning, designing and construction of electrical systems in support of water and wastewater facility projects, SCADA, and control. This work matters and impacts the quality of life for local communities, so we have big responsibilities and strict qualifications.

Responsibilities


  • Design and analytical work associated with all phases of electrical system designs for utility facilities for clients throughout Washington and Oregon

  • Perform facility electrical service calculations and power system analyses preparing facility one-line diagrams, electrical floor plans, lighting plans, and electrical construction details

  • Prepare technical specifications, construction cost estimates, and develop PLC and graphic operator interface software

  • Design coordination with other engineering disciplines including mechanical, structural, chemical, and process engineering as well as with clients, power and communication utilities, and review agencies

  • Perform inspections of electrical and control system installations

  • Review construction submittals and respond to Contractor requests for information (RFIs)

  • Assist with electrical and control system testing, troubleshooting, and startup

  • Assume project management role on small or sub projects; mentor and direct EIT or Staff Engineers

 Qualifications


  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited University

  • Current P.E. license in the State or Oregon required; + WA preferred

  • 5+ years’ experience with demonstrated understanding of electrical engineering concepts and experience with digital and computer design through education or job experience

  • Knowledge of standard design software including AutoCAD and MS Office Suite; plus preferred exposure to: Wonderware, PLC programming, SKM software and other programs in electrical disciplines

  • Understanding and awareness of computer networks and the National Electric Code (NEC)

  • Willingness to travel to project sites during both design and construction (~ 25% local Oregon/ Washington travel)
